These are working drafts of the station’s spoken word framework and policy as well as an introductory training manual for volunteer broadcasters and programmers who want to concentrate some effort developing the spoken word components for the station.
Written by John Hague who is solely responsible for its content until approved by our Editorial Board/Programming Committee.
“Spoken Word” is essentially two components of our programming defined by CRTC regulation.
The two components: “News” including headlines and summaries, news in-depth features and issues in focus/mini-docs. Spoken Word “Other” includes sports, weather, announcements, self-help series, story telling and radio theatre.
