Calling out to all NCRC attendees!

Greetings to all conference attendees!

This years NCRC is going to be broadcasting on CKGI’s proposed 98.7 fm for the duration of the conference. As a result we are putting a general call out to all those attending, who might want to showcase some new music you just need everyone to hear, or a spoken word show that you feel would be relevant, or anything in between, we are going to be having a sign up sheet at the conference.

We will be broadcasting our currently running web stream: www.ckgi.ca/audio-stream/ when we don’t have scheduled programs and shows.

SO, bring your music, your diatribes, news voices and more!

Disclaimer: As we have a temporary licence to broadcast, all artists being showcased must give their permission to use their music for this purpose.

We are exempt from  the CRTC process under http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2000/pb2000-10.htm

Industry Canada Special Event Limited Duration license.

Plenary Proposals

Here is a good place to discuss pre conference plenary proposals. CKGI has a seconder  to amend previous irrelevant motions from the  past AGM’s. Many motions are out of context, some  no longer are relevant and others are right on but need updating.

Motions specific to NCRC
Putting on a conference  requires the coordinator to follow the passed motions pertaining to NCRC. It would be nice if the out of context motions were filed into – “might need them later”; and the ones that need updating, were.

Please have a look at  NCRAANREC_Resolutions2009 and see if anything you moved  needs recycling or reusing or updating.

BIRT CKGI will rescind previous motions at NCRC Plenary. This is due to lack of funding to implement the resolutions.

We should price out the cost of implementing the resolution prior to striking it.

1. name change = $3000

2. Static – $8000 start up; $6000 per year operations

3. outreach to community radio – staff  time
