Volunteer agreement drafted for 2011-2012, agreement to cover April 2011 – April 2012, Gerry and Ken to form the review committee and report to board with the updated list of active volunteers. Volunteer reviews should be help in a private location.
Internet at ArtWorks, raspberries, SKOL, and mad rona’s. Ken will ask David if he agrees to complete the installation and maintenance of a WIFI site at the Skol and Raspberries. if so, Ken to obtain all approvals and order equipment. Ken will ask David if he can help install schnauser in the ArtWorks, the older computer is too slow, schnauser is a faster model of computer.
If the Arts Council moves we will ask to share their mailing address.
Membership drive was a success, we garnered about $80 per hour and Gerry moved to add additional funding drives in 2012, Ken agrees to provide new creative and announcement. Ken will thank Steve for permitting us on the Folklife Village, and ask for additional time. John, John Gerry and Ken agreed to provide table coverage once per alternating month.
Fundraising
The following were approved in Principle.
Ken and John away Feb 18th to March 6th. Gerry doesn’t want a meeting John has lots to do.
John asked Ken and Gerry to undertake a prerecorded interview for broadcast on CHLY.
We don’t have enough free CDs to donate to the “Welcome Wagon” package. No volunteer has come forward to prepare something for the “Welcome Wagon”.
Less urgent but interesting issues were discussed. Ken acknowledged it is difficult waiting for the CRTC decision on the Rogers Application to expand their 100,000 watt CIOC Victoria service, but is confident we will succeed with our application now that Ted Rogers has died.
